Calico Craft Parts DT Application Post

Good evening, I am popping on this evening to apply for the new DT spot over at Calico Craft Parts. They are a fantastic company and it's great to see them back (Calico Crafts) after the devastation when their business burnt to the ground.  I can remember the sadness that was felt through blogland.  I remember when they started doing wood, all the designs were amazing and the price was brilliant.  I am so happy that they are back now, around a year I believe.  All the new DT came back with them and wow they have a fabulous DT, the creative inspiration is awesome and what they can do with wood is out of this world lol.  Why not jump on over to their blog HERE.
So I was ultra excited to find out that a DT spot is open and I just had to have a go and apply, we have to do a blog post with 3 makes that show your style so here goes :-)

To start with I do love a bit of a rustic design especially with lots and lots of layers,
the more layers the happier I am, especially if it ends up with lots of touchy
feely texture.
The full post is HERE with a full tutorial with 17 step by step pictures.
Also on every post I do I always add a full product description at the end of my post.

My other love is Texture, the more texture the more excited I become.
I also love to challenge myself.  You wouldn't believe it here but I had made
a huge mistake by adding bright neon pink paid and angelina fibres on the
background and I show how I mended it in the end.
Yes it meant more layers but when working with wood you can
guarantee that it's robust enough to take it.
This was a Calico Craft Parts chunky atc and Seahorses.
You will find the post HERE again with a full tutorial with over 30 step by step pictures.

This the back.

My other love is bright funky colours, but of course it will have some
form of texture blended in.  These are altered playing cards, but I am
showing them purely because of the colours and how they make me feel so
bright and happy.  The houses were made up of mop up deli papers and the background
has lots of lovely layers.  You can find the post HERE with a full tutorial of 35 step by step
pictures.

And for a previous DT I was asked to decorate one of their shrines for the
Craft Stamper Magazine which was a huge honour, I also had a full page,  in the February
2016 edition, which I was very proud of and I still look at it thinking wow I did that.
I am still beaming lol.

I am currently on no DT's, I have been on Creative Expressions DT for a year and That Craft Place for 3 years.

I hope everything is on here that need's to be, first time I have done a post like this.  Thank you for taking the time to look at my application and good luck to everyone who has applied.

Happy Art :-)
